I have always been fascinated by ancient art and architecture. Why and how did our ancestors build the Pyramids, Stonehenge, the Pont du Gard, the Cathedrals ? Even today, building such monuments would represent a technical challenge.

the mosaic of the four seasons decorates the triclinium of the house of Dyonisus in Volubilis, Morocco. It is composed of 3 parts. At the entrance to the room, 2 apotropaic Gorgons ward off the indelicate guests and evil eye. A unique composition of Dionysian and seasonal themes ornates the center of the room, while a wide geometric border is set on the space where the banquet’s bed would be set.
