Fall Foliage
A backsplash realized for a good friend of mine.
She is a great gardener, and wanted for her kitchen something reminiscent of her backyard in the fall.
We looked at several designs and finally decided for these colourful leaves.
Because I was to install this piece directly on the existing wall, I worked the direct method, on a fiberglass mesh which allowed me to transfer the finished mosaic to the wall.
All tesserae are stained, irridescent glasses, gilded and coloured mirrors
