A poster of the 1913 edition of the Tour de France

This mosaic is a reproduction of a poster advertizing the bicycles JB Louvet which had won several stages in the Tour.
A very interesting feature of it is that the Alsace and Lorraine are not on the map. Since 1871 these 2 departments were part of Germany, hey only would be back to France at the end of WWI in 1918.
This mosaic was commissioned by a friend of mine and can be presently seen at the Dothan Cycle and Fitness store.
The mosaic realized in reverse method, is entirely made of glass tesserae, most of them 8 mm square (5/16″).
You like bicycle races, I will create a beautiful mosaic for you from one of the many beautiful Art Deco or Modern posters related to the Tour de France or advertising various cycles brands.
