the mosaic of the four seasons decorates the triclinium of the house of Dyonisus in Volubilis, Morocco. It is composed of 3 parts. At the entrance to the room, 2 apotropaic Gorgons ward off the indelicate guests and evil eye. A unique composition of Dionysian and seasonal themes ornates the center of the room, while a wide geometric border is set on the space where the banquet’s bed would be set.
