Saint George and the Dragon was inspired by a medieval floor mosaic from the Monastery of Ganagobie in Provence.
St George and the Dragon is made of Marbles and terracotta, its frame is wooden.
Saint George built following the reverse method, where the tesserae are laid upside down on a mirror image of the actual design… This technique allows for the use of materials of different thickness.
